Social Network Moi Mir (My World), the third largest social network in Russia, has launched a “Fotomagic”, a processing service filter for images.
The Mail.Ru owned firm has acquired and fully customised the solution from the Aviary company (www.aviary.com).
The photo editing feature lets a user process the images from anywhere, such as photoblogs and photo albums.
13 filters allow user to create the effects of sepia, Polaroid, black-and-white cameras. Friends immediately can take a look at the results in the user picture tape.
“We’ve monitored the photos posted in My World, and found that users often edit their images before posting, and so we’ve decided to run the Photomagic. We hope that users will love our service. Especially because its work very smart and efficient, and photos can always be returned to it’s original look. Incidentally, the function runs completely in the browser and HTML5,” – said Dennis Alaev, head of My World social network.
