Ecwid has reported that its storefronts with both a website store and a Facebook store, on average secured over 22% of their overall online revenue from the Facebook store, during the second quarter of this year.
The Facebook store building firm said this figure represents a 17% increase over its Q1 findings.
In addition, the average Q2 revenue total for Facebook stores rose 38% from Q1.
The number of Facebook stores also increased by 26 percent in Q2 from the previous quarter.
These statistics were pulled from aggregate data based on the 180,000 Ecwid-powered web storefronts in 174 countries, 40,000 of which also have Facebook stores and most of which are small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
Aggregate Data From Businesses Using Ecwid Store-Building Software

• The average Q2 revenue of Facebook stores rose 38% from Q1.
“Despite highly-publicised big brand Facebook store withdrawals, our data shows that F-Commerce is growing for small and medium-sized businesses,” says Ruslan Fazlyev, CEO and founder of Ecwid, Inc. “We’re still in the early days of social commerce and since the rules of this game are still being written, it’s important to pay attention to who’s figuring it out first. Right now, that’s the SMBs.”
