Facebook has chosen an Indian startup Tookitaki as it first Facebook Marketing Partner from the country, as a part of its Facebook Marketing Partners Program.
The social networking site is looking at tying up with more Indian companies to help ecommerce brands use social networking sites, such as Facebook and Instagram.
Facebook Marketing Partners is built on the idea that better partner matches improve performance for marketers.
The program globally features hundreds of partners, new and existing, categorized based on the areas of expertise marketers need most.
These could range from scaling and optimizing Facebook ad campaigns, content marketing, community management, and other such solutions for startups and small businesses alike.
“India is a focus area for us and the ecommerce industry is our current priority. We will look for partners who can create more value for the ecommerce industry. We will also identify more industries which can be priority for us,” said Kiran Raghavan, regional manager for preferred marketing developer at Facebook.
Raghavan and his team of two are working in close association with Facebook’s sales team in India to identify more such firms.
Tookitaki, which was founded in 2013 by Abhishek Chatterjee, also provides data analysis and predictions about customer behaviour, marketing, and product sales to brands.
