Price comparison provider Become Europe has announced a global partnership with mobile technology firm Netbiscuits.
The partnership enables Become Europe to optimise the mobile offering of its price comparison and retail partners, helping them to convert mobile traffic into sales.
Become Europe will also provide dynamic shopping-related content tailored for mobile use; allowing each of its partners to offer an individual mobile experience across multiple countries.
“With Netbiscuits, we can now offer our customers significant usability advantages as well as better security,” said Michael Rausch, General Manager for Europe and North America at Become Europe. “We are able to ensure that our portal partners and retailers can effectively sell via the mobile channel.”
Become Europe partnered with Netbiscuits after surveying its German network of over 15,000 merchants. Results showed providing a better mobile commerce experience was a top priority.
“Customers access mobile devices in many different situations, are a lot more focused and generally have less time than if they were sat at a desktop PC,” said Daniel Weisbeck, CMO and COO of Netbiscuits. “It is not enough to simply make the buttons a little larger – the way in which products are presented, the ordering process and the design of the website must all function differently on mobiles compared to desktop devices. Every aspect of the design should make it as easy as possible for a transaction to take place.”
