More than half (53%) of Facebook and Twitter users are happy to tell ‘social lies’ according to this new infographic from Intel.
For Brits looking good is the most important part of being online (with 56% of respondents feeling this way), a far higher figure than that of social media users in Europe and the Middle East.
Genevieve Bell, director of Intel’s Interaction and Experience Research, commented: “New technologies tend to magnify the contradictions in our behaviour. We want both to create a good impression with our peers and also complain about over-sharing. It takes time to find a balance.”

I fail to see the value of this survei.
It is an essens of live that people try to stand out and make white or black lies to make them more attrative. That they do this online is no more diffferent to normal live.
And I do not have a smart phone. So I am a lier because of that ?? What an idiotic conclusion.
And I do not like lies!!!!
