  1. Great article Derek. Data is rapidly proving to be even more vital to business success than anyone previously thought, and having clean data is crucial to that success. It is far more effective to ensure the data initially inputted is of good quality, with no errors, rather than having to spend money processing ‘unclean’ data. In our experience, taking data from the source, without the need to aggregate gives you the best data and provides an understanding of where poor data has originated. From here you can determine whether you need to implement an IT change or a business process change.
