Last month, Clubhouse’s valuation hit $1 billion, with high-profile names flurrying to the platform, from celebrities, CEOs, entrepreneurs and musicians, and recently garnering even more media attention with Elon Musk’s recent Tweet that he would be talking live on the social media audio app.

App Annie, the leading mobile data and analytics company, shares its latest insights on Clubhouse, an invitation-only audio-chat social networking app launched in the Spring of last year.

Amir Ghodrati, Director, Market Insights at App Annie says, “While Clubhouse began to gain strong download traction in the US in December, the app has seen surges in downloads in Germany, Japan and Turkey too. Clubhouse hit #1 overall by daily iPhone downloads in Japan on January 28th 2021, and has held this rank through to 2nd February 2021.

“On 31st January 2021, Clubhouse reached its highest daily downloads yet, up 100% from the daily average of the two weeks prior. On 25th January, Clubhouse had 2.5 million downloads, up to 3.2 million downloads worldwide and over 200,000 downloads in the UK through to 1st February 2021.”
