Construction giant Travis Perkins revamps website

Travis Perkins, one of the largest suppliers to the UK’s building and construction markets and a FTSE 100 listed company, has launched its new website, created by Amaze, to support the presentation of the Group’s 2013 full year results by new CEO, John Carter, on 26 February.

This is the first major project delivered by Amaze for Travis Perkins following the agency’s appointment as lead digital partner last year, and is a significant development in its ongoing digital strategy.
Improved user experience has been central to the design of the fully responsive site, ensuring that usability across stakeholder groups is seamless, regardless of the device being used. The new look site will also help to create a clear online distinction between Travis Perkins plc and Travis Perkins, one of the 17 businesses owned and operated by the Group.
The content and use of imagery have been significantly updated to create a more visual and engaging online experience, and providing users with easy access to the information they need. All of this has been underpinned with a robust analytics framework to enable the easy tracking of delivery against key performance indicators across the organisation.
Norman Bell, Strategy and IT Director, said “We are thrilled to be introducing our new website to all our stakeholders and looking forward to their feedback. Amaze’s technical strength and digital expertise has helped us to create a site that is a much clearer reflection of the people behind our business, a site that demonstrates our commitment to being a leader in an ever-changing marketplace.”
Natalie Gross, CEO at Amaze, commented, “This has been a great project to work on, and ensures that Travis Perkins is at the forefront of digital within the building and construction industry. We’ve applied our expertise to really put Travis Perkins’ stakeholders at the heart of the digital user experience. We look forward to building on this success across all of the business’ other digital channels as part of its ongoing digital strategy.”
