The Pakistan websites of Google, Apple and Microsoft were among the victims of a large scale hack attack on Saturday. During 24 November, Google.com.pk, Microsoft.pk, Apple.pk and Yahoo.pk among many others were taken offline. About 300 websites in total were defaced by hackers reported to be carried out by a blend of attackers from both Pakistan and Turkey.

A Pakistani Hackers’ group has revealed the weakness of PKNIC, which supervises domains for the country including .com, .pk and org.pk, which led to defacement of websites of Google, Microsoft, eBay and several others.
The group including Khanisgr8, Net_Spy, Xpired , Sho0ter and N3t.Crack3r reported that several .PK domains that include google.com.pk, msn.com.pk and other country level domains for top brands have been defaced over security errors of PKNIC system.
Other leading websites which have been affected include Cisco, Visa, HSBC, Coca Cola, Blogspot, Sony, HP, eBay and PayPal.
According to ProPakistani , the group revealed that PKNIC servers have been vulnerable to boolean-based blind sql injection, time-based blind sql injection, cross site scripting and sensitive directory disclosure.
The reports reveal that the hacker for Google’s site was same as the person accountable for several thousands of defacements that occurred earlier.
