Janrain and Bazaarvoice partner for shopping social logins

Bazaarvoice is to integrate its shopping reviews platform with the Janrain Engage social login and sharing tool.

The move is designed to help brands to provide more personalised online experiences, offering customers the chance to login via an existing social ID.
Through the integration, major brands and retailers using Bazaarvoice can now leverage Janrain Engage to allow their customers to login with an existing social identity from providers including Facebook, Google, Twitter and Yahoo!.
Consumers can easily personalise their Bazaarvoice contributor profile to include content from these social networks, as well as quickly share reviews and other UGC with their social graph.
For example, a consumer who logs in through Facebook or Twitter can upload their profile picture (or avatar) from these networks to the contributor profile they maintain on a brand site. She can also share product pictures from these networks, adding richness and context to reviews or answers, and share opinions back to social networks with a single click.
“Bazaarvoice offers innovative ways for brands to interact with their customers and we share a mutual goal of helping brands increase customer awareness and acquisition,” said Larry Drebes, CEO of Janrain. “Pairing Janrain’s social login and sharing with their products makes it even easier for our joint customers to gain critical insight into their consumers, create a more engaging online experience, and refine business strategy to drive growth.”
”We know from our own user testing that consumers respond to real people – their photos, their unique personalities and submissions,” said Jim Petty, Vice President of Business Development, Technology Partnerships, for Bazaarvoice. “When content reflects a consumer’s personality, it’s more valuable for our clients and translates to higher conversion and an all together better experience.”
