‘Olympictures’ rewards London 2012 snappers with prizes

A Manchester-based digital marketing agency is offering prizes in an Olympics-based photo competition.

Return On Digital is inviting social network users to snap and share their Olympic inspiration for the chance to win a digital camera as well as other prizes along the way.
Hoping to keep national pride continuing after the Queen’s Jubilee, Tim Grimes, Social Media Executive at Return on Digital said:
“Not everyone will get the chance to go to the Games but we think a lot of people will want to get into the spirit of the event, and get behind their country! If you’re lucky enough to be at an Olympic event, show the rest of us what we’re missing. If not, show us a memory or a landmark. It’s up to you.”
To be entered into the competition, all you need to do is take a picture of something that represents what the 2012 Olympics means to you – and we want you to get creative!
The agency is asking that these ‘Olympictures’ are submitted on social networks with the appropriate hashtag for the chance to win a daily prize. At the end of the competition in August, the public can vote on their favourite of these daily winners, where the top three will receive Gold, Silver and Bronze prizes accordingly – one of which will be a digital camera.
Grimes added: “Using #Olympictures, send your photos to us on Twitter or Facebook .You can make them more interesting using Instagram, Hipstamatic, Cinemagram, or anything on your smartphone that you think will make your picture stand out. ‘Follow’ or ‘Like’ us to see if you have won one of our prizes.”
