Fredhopper embarks on aggressive US expansion

E-commerce technology company Fredhopper has recruited two senior directors to strengthen its US presence, and will hire a further 14 people this year as the company plans aggressive growth in the country.

Fredhopper, which also has operations across Europe and Australia, counts fashion chain Urban Outfitters and office suppliers Deluxe among its US clients.
It provides on-site search, merchandising and targeting technology that helps retailers increase sales.
Michael Moore takes the role of Western Regional Director in the US, while Kevin Calhoun becomes Eastern Regional Director. Both will be responsible for growing operations and overseeing client accounts in their respective territories. Moore and Calhoun will report to Frank Lombos, Fredhopper’s Vice President of Worldwide Sales.
“Our business in the American market has been growing steadily since we launched in 2010 – the team we are hiring this year will strengthen our capabilities and help us support more retailers,” said Frank Lombos, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Fredhopper. “In Europe we’ve achieved excellent results for over 200 online retailers, dramatically increasing average order value, conversion rates and sales. We hope to replicate that in the US.”
Fredhopper’s stable of international clients includes B&Q, Debenhams, Philips, Thomas Cook and Toys R Us.
