Google has replaced YouTube Insight with YouTube Analytics, giving online video producers a more detailed statistics on how their content is watched.
The new analytical tool includes a summary report to give top-level performance metrics on the user’s YouTube content. It also gives easy access to more detailed statistics.
YouTube Analytics generates the same data given from YouTube Insight and more. It gives the demographics of who is watching the producer’s video content and tells the user where the traffic is being drawn from.
It also shows which videos are drawing the most views and subscribers to allow content producers to promote these videos more heavily.
There are now statistics on whether the viewer is watching all of the video or just part of it. The analytical tool also shows the producer which video is driving the most comments and tells YouTube partners how much they’ll earn on each video.
Here’s what you’ll get, so long as you are using a “modern” browser:
• A Quick Overview: A new overview provides all of the information that you care about quickly, while also enabling you to easily access more detailed information.
• More Detailed Reports: Analytics now includes more detailed statistics so that you can have a more precise understanding of your content and audiences.
• Audience Builders: Discover which videos are driving the most views and subscriptions.
• Audience Retention: See how far viewers are watching through your video in the new audience retention report.
Google also provided an infographic outlining how the service works:
