Covent Garden-based creative agency BPL has produced the first crowd sourced advert for Unilever’s Peperami brand.
The TV ad which is for the new bite size Peperami Nibblers product line features the Peperami character “Animal” and introduces the Peperami family.
The creative concept was submitted via ideabounty.com by Kevin Baldwin, a London-based copywriter and Rowland Davies, a former agency creative director based in Germany.
The ad was managed in the UK and produced and animated by BPL’s South African operation.
Emma Hughes, managing director of BPL, is delighted with the result: “This was a fabulous opportunity for us to produce such high-quality and high-profile work and demonstrates the advantages of the outsourcing model. We’re delighted to team up with such a talented line-up and we very much see this as the way of the future.
“Innovative, hybrid working methods like this will open the door for the lower cost smaller agencies who are used to collaborating successfully with other agencies.”
The ad will air on 23 August during the commercial break between Coronation Street on ITV and will later show during the break in Big Brother on Channel 4.
